Beginner Practices
During these sessions, you will learn the fundamental processes for throwing on the wheel: centering, opening, and pulling. You will also learn to glaze during these practices and have time to glaze your work after its first firing.
No experience required!

Mixed Level Open Studio
During these sessions, beginner/intermediate students will focus on advancing their throwing skills and learning new throwing techniques and glaze experimentation. Individualized instruction is provided for an in-depth learning experience.
Some experience with pottery is recommended to sign up for these sessions, however if you have been to a single Nodd Pottery beginner practice, you’re ready for mixed-level open studio!

Private Lessons
Some people prefer to learn in smaller groups or one-on-one. Nodd Pottery Art School is now offering private lessons for those who would prefer a one-on-one experience.

Kiln Space Rental
Do all your creating at home? We are one of the only studios in Chicago that offer kiln firings to artists not associated through studio programming.
We fire as high as cone 6. Pricing varies based on the cone of the clay body and the amount of work needed to be fired.

Kids Parties
Looking for something fun and creative to do to celebrate your little’s birthday? Nodd Pottery Art School now offers birthday parties! The birthday-kid can pick a theme, or the instructor will guide the kids through a studio project.
Kids ages 6-17
Wheel throwing available only to kids ages 13+
Wheel throwing: 6 child maximum capacity
Handbuilding: 8 child max capacity

Studio Residency Program
Are you an experienced artist looking for a space to work? Nodd Pottery Art School offers a residency program to give established artists a space to practice and produce. Access to tools and equipment, as well as free firings, are included in this program.

Advanced Open Studio Program
Open studio sessions are designed for advanced students who want self guided studio time, supervised by one of our resident instructors.
By registering for the monthly program, students can attend their specified day/s without the risk of not getting a spot if the requested date is booked

If you’d like to register for the program:
$100 for a 4 week month
$125 for a 5 week month
Open studio sessions are still accessible to students not in the program for $25/person/session if space is available.

24 HOUR RESCHEDULE POLICY: You can reschedule your session if you reach out 24 hours or more before you session is to take place.

✅Close-toed shoes required
✅No open food containers in the studio

⚠️Showing up or leaving drunk will result in a permanent ban from the studio⚠️
In order to secure your spots, prepayment is required for all requested dates within 24 hours of confirmation or your spaces will be made available to other registering students.

If you need to use a credit/debit card, please text 630-267-6355 to set up a call and payment can be made over the phone
If you plan to drive, give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes to find parking
